GETTING THERE
Flights to Rajkot (3½ hour-drive) & Bhavnagar (5 hour-drive) from where it is a four-hour drive to Sasan Gir. Flight to Diu (1½ hours) from where it is a two-hour drive to Sasan Gir. Trains to Junagadh (1¼ hour-drive) & Rajkot (3½ hour-drive) from where there are buses and taxis to Gir. Ahmedabad is 6 hours away and is also an international airport. Transport can be arranged at an extra cost.

Rail
You can check fare and book class 2A (air-conditioned) or SL on www.indianrail.gov.in. If you would like us to book your tickets, we would do it for you for a nominal service charge in addition to the cost of the ticket.

Safari charges: Safaris into the jungle are conducted by park guides in open 4WD. The duration of safari is about three to four hours and is conducted early morning or in the afternoon till sunset. Each jeep can seat upto four persons comfortably. Besides the visitors, the jeep has an expert driver and a park guide. Cost per jeep per safari in INR:
For Indian nationals 1-6 persons: Rs. 1650 (on weekdays), Rs. 1765 (on Sat & Sun), Rs. 1875 (during festival season), Camera fees - Rs 100 (full day) above 7 megapixel.
For foreign nationals 1-6 persons: Rs. 3250 (on weekdays), Rs. 3765 (on Sat & Sun), Rs. 4275 (during festival season), Camera fees - Rs 500 (full day) above 7 megapixel.
Service tax on the bill is 4.12% additional.

Extra bed for an adult or a child will be charged @ Rs. 900 per extra bed (ground mattress) with breakfast, lunch & dinner.
